Our summer associate program is designed to actively involve summer associates in the firm's practice by providing unique hands-on experience. Students are given challenging assignments from the full breadth of our practice areas. Our summer associates truly become part of the firm — performing complex research, attending department meetings, building client relationships, and getting involved in the firm's pro bono work. While there are no obligatory social outings, summer associates will find themselves invited by the firm's attorneys to attend a variety of events.
Feedback is given throughout the program and hiring decisions are made at the end of the summer. Each fall, on-campus interviews of second-year law students are conducted at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State University. Second-year students from other law schools are strongly encouraged to submit applications to our summer program during the months of September and October.
